Rain screaming down the window pane gray outside I love this feeling
I am cozy in my warm shell I am happy in the web of my cocoon
watching the rain come steadily down progressively saturating
grass and pavement and my permeable soul as I bask in this moment
it is still dusk and on the hardwoods inside I dance to sultry jazz
cat brushes my leg I head for the window to watch mother nature
her glorious fury scares me not makes me think of my grandmother
no moon can be seen rain gleans on cast iron railings
shimmering molten glass drips falling in patterns of random symmetry
