Everything was purple
The needles on the trees
Different shades in the sunlight
Like a purple Christmas
The clouds were lavender
The wind came in gust of violets
The sky itself
Was a beautiful, soothing
shade of purple
Purple became my fancy
My passion for life
Everything I wore
And everything I made
And even what I smoked
Was purple
Why such a crazy shade, you ask?
Why not? I laughed
And danced around your feet
In my purple sandals
Tossing purple petals in your hair
Purple became my dreams
I only dreamed in shades of purple
Purple was my gaze
And when you looked at me
Into my eyes
All you could imagine
Was purple
We rolled in the purple grass
Swam in the purple sea
It didn’t matter what color others saw
Purple was you
And purple was me
Even the sounds became purple
Anger was violet
Ignorance was indigo
And lavender wouldn’t let you go
From my heart
Surrounded in purple fluids
Tied by purple threads
You and me together
In purple dress we were wed.
